Deltans have been promised a new lease of life by the Delta APC if elected in the forthcoming general elections in 2019.
This assurance was given by the Delta APC chairman Prophet Jones Ode Erue in an interactive session with newsmen at the just concluded National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the governing All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
He enumerated the failures of the present administration of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to include infrastructural decay in all sectors particularly the health sector, despite Okowa being a medical doctor.
The delta APC Chairman said: I am saddened at the high unemployment rate, non-payment of backlogs of pension gratuities, poor project execution like the hurriedly patched Stephen Keshi stadium that caused the state a national embarrassment, and severe hardship foisted on Deltans by the Okowa led PDP through its inept and visionless policies.
He queried the rationale behind hundreds of abandoned projects across the length and breadth of Delta State despite Okowa being in possession of huge resources.
The state chairman accused the PDP leadership of being bereft of ideas to move the State forward as no visible project have been conceived and completed in over 3 years of Okowa as Governor.
He appealed to Deltans to vote for the APC, that all hands must be on deck to achieve this goal.
He also urged party faithfuls to close ranks and queue behind the State party leadership in its determination to send Okowa-led PDP packing and build a new Delta.
