The Association of Iron and Steel Retired Staff of Nigeria, Delta State Steel Company (DSC Pensioners) branch Aladja paid a courtesy visit to the member representing Ughelli North / South and Udu Federal constituencies, Rt Hon Rev Francis Waive over nonpayment of their entitlements.
Addressing newsman after the short meeting with delegation, the DSC pensioners branch chairman, Oserohowovo Thomas, and its secretary, Mr. Okpeh Okari appeal to the federal government to urgently intervene over the outstanding DSC pensioners arrears by the PTAD.
Oserohwovo maintained that, PRAD commenced monthly Pension payments to DSC pensioners in July 2018 with promise to pay their outstanding arrears from July 2005 to June 2018 after six months from December 29, 2019 but they paid only 12 months leaving the balance still which is still outstanding.
He said, they have severally sent appeal letters to PTAD pleading that their outstanding balance should be paid but all efforts has proved abortive.
He therefore urged Rt Hon Francis Waive, DSP, Senator Ovie Omo Agege and President Mohammadu Buhari to come to their aid.
Addressing the delegations at his constituency office in Ughelli, Hon Waive applaud DSC pensioners for their patience over nonpayment of their entitlements.
He assured them that their complaint and presentations will be critically looked into as a matter of urgency by the federal House of Representatives as sitting commences next month.
