Obviously, the game has changed and a new order has been born, leaders of APC in Otor-Edo and eople of the community were left dumbfounded as Hon Waive proved to them that the days of labouring and not getting the deserved dividends are gone.
Contrary to the normal situation where politicians are seen again by the electorates only when it’s another election, Hon. Waive appeared before the people of Otor-Edo community to formally and specially thanked them for their profound support in the last general election.
Prior to the 2019 general elections, Hon. Waive, who now represent the entire people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, during his consultations and campaigns visited every nook and cranny of the constituency.
However owing to time factor, he didn’t get to Otor-Edo community, Orhowhe Subclan/Kingdom in Ughelli South LGA. But that notwithstanding the people massively voted for him. And Hon. Waive couldn’t but acknowledge and appreciate them specially.
Hon. Francis Waive who was represented by members of his political family at the Otor-Edo Community was placed on phone call and he personally interacted with the people, appreciating them wholeheartedly, the Hon., told them that they were among communities that gave him the highest votes and they certainly will be remembered.
The Hon. Waive’s team that visited Otor-Edo community was led by his Chief Of Staff, Hon. Bunor Agbomedarho, the others are Hon. Mavis Onikibe, Hon. Ambrose Germany, Mr Iwenyen Emeka and Mr. Peter Amreta.
Hon. Bunor Agbomedarho while addressing the leaders of the APC and other leaders of Otor-Edo community on behalf of his boss, expressed delight with the people for their sacrifices and commitment to good governance which was clearly shown in the massive votes they pulled.
He promised that within the shortest time a visible project will be executed in Otor-Edo community as benefit for their huge support.
Hon. Bunor Agbomedarho requested to inspect the town to know what pressing issues they are having in other to determine what dividends to bring to them.
The request was received with much excitement and the the people gladly took him and his team round the town.
Among some of the immediate needs of the people are restoration of electricity supply as their transformer was recently vandalized, furniture’s and other equipment’s for Otor-Edo community primary school, road construction, reviving of abandoned water projects and many more.
While responding to the unprecedented visit, the people expressed shock and joy as it marvelled them that a politician can actually come down to recognize and appreciate them. According to them many politicians will not do a review and evaluation of the election that brought them to power, let alone visit a people in the interiors to say thank you.
The Otor-Edo people promised to continue to support the Hon. Member of the House and the party in general because by his visit he has revived their hope in democracy.
Hon. Waive is clearly a man with the people at heart, with politicians like him true dividends of democracy will not elude our people.
