The National Universities Commission, NUC, has approved seven new academic courses for the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, FUPRE, Uvwie local government area of Delta State.
The NUC letter of approval singed by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Noel Saliu on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Adbubakar Racheed to the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, FUPRE, stated the course as follows; B. Eng. Civil Engineering and B. Eng. Computer Engineering.
Other course approved by NUC are; Masters in Environment Policy and Regulation, B.Sc. Statistics, B. Eng. Petrochemical Engineering, B. Sc. Science Laboratory Technology and B. Eng. Natural Gas Engineering.
The approval was sequel to a successful resource verification exercise carried out by NUC.
The letter of approval was directed to inform the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, that the Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the following undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to be run in the main campus of the University, effective from 2020/2021 academic session.
