HRM London Aforkerhi Itu JP, Ememoh 11, Orhifi, the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom has appealed to Ifeanyi Okowa over the completion of the Omadino/Ukpokiti Road project in Warri South local government area.
Orhifi appeal was contained in his key note address read on his behalf by High Chief Willie Digbori (JP) during his conferment of chieftaincy titles on twenty-six indigenes of the kingdom in Igbudu Agbarha Warri recently.
Orhifi stated that the people of the Agbarha Warri oil rich riverine community would want to feel the impact of an oil producing community.
“The project when completed would boost the socio-economic activities of Ukpokiti community and its environs and also decongest the highly congested Warri urban.
This is why the project is very dear to us, Orhifi added.
While urging his subjects and residents in the area to always aide by government directives on measures aimed at curbing the spread of covid-19 pandemic, he appreciated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for taking care of traditional rulers in the state and for his continued developmental steps in Delta State.
Orhifi had earlier explained that the purpose of the chieftaincy conferment was to reward and appreciate indigenes that have been loyal in sustaining the traditional institution in Agbarha Warri Kingdom over the past twenty-six years.
“The selection for the chieftaincy conferment is targeted mostly at youths that are knowledgeable enough to be saddled with the responsibilities for traditional palace administration in their early ages, particularly those non chiefs, working tirelessly with the kingdom.” Orhifi added.
