OVER 700 MINISTERS, CHURCH LEADERS PRAYED FOR REV FRANCIS WAIVE

The race to represent the good people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu at the Federal House of Representatives in 2019 by Rev Francis Waive received a massive boost as over 700 ministers of the gospel and various church leaders from across the various denominational divide within the Federal Constituency came together to offer up prayers to God for the actualization of his mandate.

The event which held at the Ughelli City Stadium witnessed a large turnout of church folks from the five major blocs that make up the Christian Association of Nigeria and APC party faithful’s, including some leading aspirants for the Delta State House of Assembly.

In his sermon titled ‘Behold the Man,’ the Delta State Chapter Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Dr. Kingsley Enakirheri extolled the sterling qualities of Rev Francis Waive.

He described Rev Waive, whom he has known for over three decades, as a man who is fit for the job of representing not only the people of Ughelli and Udu at the parliament but also the interests of the Church in Nigeria. He also enjoined all present to ensure that they get their PVCs and vote en masse for the amiable man of God.

The high point of the occasion was the gathering of well over 700 ministers of the gospel and church leaders present to pray and lift up Rev Francis Waive to God. They came together to lay hands on him and lift up his hands as a sign of fellowship and endorsement of his God-given mandate.

In his vote of thanks, Rev Francis Waive appreciated all who graced the occasion and made a solemn promise not to disappoint the Church of Jesus Christ as he takes over the pastoral and parliamentary duties at the House of Representatives come 2019.
