Tataunu Condemns Nddc Imc Fraudulent Activities

An APC Chieftains in Udu LGA, Delta State, Chief Akporhobo Tataunu has condemn the activities of the staff and Executives of the NDDC IMC for fraudulently depriving the people of Niger Delta region of their God given endowments and fortune.

Chief Tataunu lamented the flagrant display of abuse of office by clueless Managing Directors and their Executives Directors, who are co-conspirators and cohorts in the Agency’s saga.

Adding that the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs cannot be lauded in the face of the gale of financial misappropriation allegations and counter allegations in recent times, while it remains the supervisory Ministry.

Chief Tataunu said: “Not until the news of corruption in the Agency went viral, these seemingly trusted Niger Deltans never gave a hint of the level of profligacy in the interventionist Agency but instead increased the numbers of corrupt officials in it”.

He takes a swipe at the quality of projects executed by the NDDC across Udu local government area. “Look at the Orhuwhorun/Owhorode/ Erhiephiho road project that is currently abandoned, is a project that has been there for upward of six years.

Even when the width and size of the road had been abysmally reduced and the drainage squeezed, the contractor still abandon it.

A project that links three communities housing oil and gas facilities dies not attract any sympathy from the contractor. That is the fate of a people without conscience.

The Orhuwhorun water project is another one of such projects left uncompleted and simply abandoned”.

Chief Tataunu commended the President for deeming it necessary in bringing the forensic auditors to check the financial recklessness of management and staff of the NDDC, towards ensuring probity and impacting the lives of the people of the oil-rich region positively through regular financial appropriations and proper usage.

He questioned the N1.32 billion used as palliatives by the Agency for its Management and staff, while indigenes of the Region face serious deprivations in terms of lack of food, water and healthcare and other social amenities. #NDDC #IMC #urhobo
