Urhobo Needs Cool Headed Diplomatic Senator - Emerhor

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Leader off All Progressive Congress (APC) Delta State has said that the Urhobo of Delta Central Senatorial district needs somebody who is cool headed, calculative and diplomatic representation that can get things done for the Urhobo nation.

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor made this statement at his residence at Ewreni, saying that the present senator representing Urhobo has failed, and does not come and listen to the people, “is that not why you elders and leaders come together to agreed that lets give him red card? And you have decided too that I should go and replace him.”

Apparently referring to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege whom he said instead of uniting the party, he choose to use his position to divide it in Delta Central.

While declaring his intention, he stressed as thus “Let me now report that I have consented to represent Urhobo Nation after due consultation with family and political advisers.”

He declared his support for direct primaries to nominate the candidates of the party in Delta State.

Prince Slyverster Kowwho who is the chairman of Urhobo APC elders and leaders forum said that, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor is a good material to represent Urhobo in the Senate to restore Urhobo image, advocating direct primaries for Delta State APC.

Chief John Onojeharho maintained that, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor is an Urhobo patriot who always display it whenever the need arises, adding that, he is going to be a good senatorial material and urged Urhobos to support him.

Highpoint of the occasion was the defection of Chief (Mrs.) Yvonne Dama Obakpolor, Assistant State Woman leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC, while Prince Sylvester Kowho, Chief Austin Uloho, Chief Akpodiete Edewor, Engr Samuel Adjogbe, Prince Sam Kowho and Chief Omene were among those present at the occasion.
