DELTA STATE CENTRAL APC ADOPTS TINUBU, OBOREVWORI FOR 2027

The APC in Delta State shows unity in adopting President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori as candidates for the 2027 elections.

All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Delta State Central Senatorial District showed strong unity on Sunday. They adopted President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as their sole candidates for the 2027 elections.

The Delta State Central Mega Unity Meeting led to this adoption. The meeting was held in Ughelli. It was attended by political gladiators. Party faithful from Federal, State, and Local Government Levels also attended. Party leaders and faithful reaffirmed their support for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, demonstrating their strong backing in Delta State.

Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive represents Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency. He moved the motion for the adoption of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. He praised President Tinubu’s economic reforms. He also commended Governor Oborevwori’s astute leadership and performance.

The motion was seconded by a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Halims Agoda.

Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central, put the motion to a voice vote. It was unanimously adopted, demonstrating the party’s strong support for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori within Delta State.

The meeting passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and supported Governor Oborevwori. Party leaders and faithful from the Senatorial district affirmed their support for the duo’s re-election in 2027. They emphasized the political significance in Delta State, showcasing the true strength of unity here.

Chief Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, noted that the meeting had a specific goal. It aimed to strengthen the bond of unity among party leaders within Delta State. He described President Tinubu as the most astute economic manager of the nation’s resources.

Chief Keyamo highlighted the synergy between President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda. He said their partnership is for the common good of the people. He added that in the annals of the state’s history, the political class in Delta State is united. They are speaking with one voice.

He said; “A few of us leaders put together this idea to solidify the base of our Governor. Take note, this meeting is not just an ordinary meeting. This is “Ukodo” base, no other senatorial district in Delta State can have taken this initiative away from us.”

“Since 1999, there has been no time that the Urhobo nation; Delta Central has been so united than today, none. We have not delivered 100% in Delta State to one party since 1999. I want to bet with everything I have that for the first time, Delta State will return APC 100%”.

He stated that the Unity Meeting would be replicated across the Senatorial district’s eight local governments. This includes wards and units within Delta State. He urged leaders to move ahead with courage and determination.

State Chairman of the APC, Elder Omeni Sobotie highlighted the significance of the meeting. It was tagged “All Progressive Congress, Delta Central Unity Meeting.” He appreciated supporters for their commitment. He praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his leadership. He also commended Festus Keyamo for fostering unity within Delta State’s political environment.

Chairman of the party in Delta State Central Senatorial District, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, made a note. He stated that the State was witnessing a new dawn. This change is under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership. He commended him for joining the APC, a pivotal moment for Delta State’s political scene.

Chief Akpeki said, “The decision has reshaped the political landscape of Delta State.” This transformation is under the leadership of the party’s key figures.

“Today is a day of unity, is a day of purpose and vision. A day to reaffirm our commitment to work together as one indivisible family. A day to deliberate and strategize to form a common road map for Delta State.”

Other notable speakers reaffirmed their commitment to unity in Delta State. These speakers include the 2015 APC gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, and Executive Director, NEXIM Bank, Chief Stella Okotete. Chief Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Senator Ighoyota Amori, made a pledge. Chairman Ughelli North Local Government, Chief Jaro Egbo, also pledged. Both agreed to work together for the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

National and State Assembly Members from the district attended the meeting. Federal appointees, Commissioners, and the eight local Government Chairmen were also present. Their presence signifies their commitment to the Delta State’s decision-making process.
