Agbarha Otor is an ancient Urhobo kingdom which is now part of Ughelli North LGA in Delta State; Agbarha is, in fact, one of the sons of OGHWOGWHA, his other brothers being OGOR, UGHELLI, and OROGUN.
In ancient days, the people of Agbarha Otor were farmers, hunters, explorers and also excellent warriors; later on, as a result of various events, people and families from Agbarha (Otor) moved to other places where they settled down on untouched lands and made those places their new home.
The ancestors of the kingdoms of OGHARA, MOSOGAR and IDJERHE migrated at different times in history from Agbarha to establish their territories in the present-day Ethiope West LGA, and the three kingdoms were founded by people who had originally come from Agbarha-Otor.
Moreover, great warriors and brave men moved from Agbarha-Otor to found the Agbarha Warri Kingdom in the present-day Warri South LGA.
That is why, when you go to Agbarha-Otor nowadays, you will see names of communities such as Oghara, Idjerhe, Edjeba, Otovwodo, etc.
The people of the IDJERHE KINGDOM, the MOSOGAR KINGDOM, the OGHARA KINGDOM, the AGBARHA WARRI KINGDOM and the AGBARHA-OTOR KINGDOM are biologically related because they descend from a common ancestor.
Once these ancestral connections have been established, it will be easy to understand why people from Agbarha-Otor or from Ughelli in Ughelli North LGA or those from Ethiope West, and in fact many Urhobos, have a duty to concern themselves with the difficulties of their brothers in Warri South LGA since they too are blood-related to the Urhobo in Warri South LGA.
