Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, delivered a message to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary. He stated that Nigeria has turned a corner. The country has moved away from the days of downward slide.
“The worst is over for the country. I believe we have weathered the storm. We are on the verge of returning to growth,” he said, emphasizing the crucial role of Omo-Agege’s contributions. This information was part of a press release by Sunny Areh, his Media Adviser.
“What we need now is to avoid actions that could undermine economic stability. Strikes and protests should not disrupt our progress. People of goodwill have a duty to support the government. They should sign up to take advantage of the various reform initiatives.
“With the autonomy granted to the local governments by the Supreme Court pronouncement, local governments are ready to exert their potential. All tiers and levers of government now exercise their capabilities. The instruments for energizing the economy at the grassroots level have been revved into gear at the councils.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold reforms and economic pathway hold the key to consolidating the better future that awaits. We should continue to support him,” Senator Ovie Omo-Agege said.
He wished all Nigerians a fruitful 64th anniversary and a greater tomorrow.
