FEDERAL GOVERNMENT 2026 POWER TRAINING PROGRAMME – APPLY NOW

Join the Federal Government 2026 Power Training Programme: Training 5,000 New Meter Installers

The Federal Government of Nigeria, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is working to close the metering gap by launching the Power Training Institute Programme. This initiative encourages young Nigerians to help improve the country’s power sector.

Nigeria currently has an estimated 7 million metering gap, and there are not enough certified meter installers to meet this need. To address this in the next two years, the government will train 5,000 more installers.

Participants in this programme will get practical training from the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and earn certification from the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA). This will grow the number of certified installers, create good job opportunities, and help with meter deployment across the country.
