President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the new Acting Inspector-General of Police. The appointment follows the resignation of the former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun. This marks a significant leadership transition within the country’s security structure.
Tunji Disu, a seasoned officer with decades of experience, steps into the role at a critical time. Currently, Nigeria continues to battle security challenges ranging from terrorism and banditry to kidnapping and cybercrime. Before his elevation, Disu served in several strategic capacities within the force. He earned recognition for his operational discipline and leadership style.
