This is one of the most respected global institutions in the health and nutrition industry and he e eventually served as a Departmental Head before retiring honorably in 1995.

After retirement, he ventured into private enterprise, founding Nutrivitas Limited and O M Simons Nigeria Limited. These companies have contributed to food and animal nutrition growth in Nigeria. They run under the broader umbrella of Urhobo leadership and innovation. They have created jobs, built capacity, and supported various sectors of the agricultural value chain.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Chief Ohwofa has played significant roles in the cultural and intellectual space of the Urhobo Nation. He served as Coordinator of the Urhobo Historical Society, an organization responsible for preserving Urhobo history, documentation, and intellectual heritage. He later became President of the Urhobo Social Club Lagos. This club is considered one of the most influential gatherings of Urhobo professionals and elites.
