WAIVE ANNUAL DAY OF PRAYERS: CLERICS OFFER PRAYERS FOR TINUBU, OBOREVWORI & WAIVE

WAIVE ANNUAL DAY OF PRAYERS

The WAIVE ANNUAL DAY OF PRAYERS gathered over a thousand Christian leaders to pray for the nation’s future and peace.

The 2026 edition of the Revd Francis Ejiroghene Waive (MHR) Annual Day of Prayers was held today. The event took place on Thursday, 22nd January, at the Ughelli Kingdom Hall.

The Christian Leaders numbered well over a thousand. They came from all thirty-two Wards in Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency. They had representatives from all five blocks of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). These blocks are the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Christian Council of Nigeria, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, OAIC, and ECWA.

Prayers were offered for victory over security and other challenges bedeviling the country. People prayed for God’s wisdom, protection, and favor upon President Tinubu, Gov Oborevwori, and Hon Waive. The success of the reforms, as well as the victory for the trio for 2027 were strong in the prayers.

The Prayer Warriors thanked God for the good works and humane nature of Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori. They noted that only God has given such a Governor to Delta State.

The clergymen pledged to continue the prayers in their respective churches and homes. They also promised to support Hon Waive for his re-election to the House of Representatives. Waive has made the church in his constituency and Nigeria in general proud with his quality representation.

Archbishop Solomon Gbakara and Ven Badawusi spoke at the event. They commended Hon Waive for keeping the faith. Hon Waive has done this despite being in political office. Archbishop Obieh and Bishop Chris Okoh prayed. They asked God to make Hon Waive an example. This is important in a polluted environment. On their part Rev Deke and Ven Kpagban prayed God to protect Hon Waive and continue to give him victory.

Responding Rev (Hon) Francis Ejiroghene Waive (MHR), honorable member representing Ughelli North Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, thanked his fellow clergymen for their continued support and prayers, promising to do more for Nigeria
