RICHARD ODIBO HONORS LATE UDU KING

Richard Odibo reflects on the legacy of the late king during the impactful burial ceremony in Udu Kingdom.

The Ogbarohwo of Udu Kingdom, Olorogun Sir Richard Odibo Ksc, who was also the committee chairman for entertainment for the burial ceremony, attended the burial ceremony amongst other notable Udu Chiefs, Religious leaders, political leaders, and other dignitaries from across Delta state.

The ceremony, which took place at the ancestral community of the Udu Kingdom (Otor-udu) on Monday, 4th August 2025, was at its peak on Saturday, 9th August 2025.

Sir Richard Odibo described the late king as one who was like a Father to all and wished for the growth of the kingdom, being the first Royal Majesty, the Owhoru the 1st from the Owhoru ruling house.

He therefore sends appreciation to the Council of Udu Chiefs, Union of Udu Communities (UUC), the Udu Council Chairman, other Political leaders and appointees, and everyone who in one way or the other contributed to the success of the burial ceremony and further prayed for God to enlarge their coast.

Richard Odibo further consoles the family of our late king, the Udu people, and prays God to grant his soul eternal rest.
