The Minister of Youth Development is Mr Ayodele Olawande. He spoke on Tuesday in Abuja. This came up during the inauguration ceremony of the National Financial Literacy, Wealth Creation and Investment Forex Training Programme. The focus was on empowering youth with critical skills for future opportunities.
Olawande said that the ministry, in partnership with Investonaire Academy, would unveil the programme. The initiative for the training emphasizes the importance of practical forex training.
The minister said that financial literacy or forex training was key to survival in the present-day world.
According to him, financial literacy is not just an advantage but a necessity. Enrolling in a forex training program can enhance this skill.
Olawande urged the youths to think outside the box and explore new opportunities for wealth creation and financial freedom.
”As a minister, I want to build a nation of young people who think, innovate, and create jobs. They should not just look for government jobs.
”I want to see only a few young people seeking government jobs. Instead, there should be a nation of entrepreneurs and employers.
”I see a lot of young people who are eager to be employed, and I want to support them.” Obtaining forex training is one vital way to support entrepreneurial growth.
According to him, the goal is to have more than 4,000 corps members in a year. The aim is to give them the support they need to succeed.
He noted, “Today marks a defining moment in our collective journey. It is a step towards prosperity, purpose, and limitless possibilities.” Forex training can certainly assist on this journey.
”A productive and prosperous nation is only possible with empowered people, especially its youth.”
Nonetheless, it was noted that many young people would want to be a millionaires. It starts with taking the first step, such as engaging in effective forex training. Learning about financial literacy is crucial.
”We have unveiled various initiatives to support our corps members, and we are committed to continuing the support.
”The time for motivation and inspirational speeches is over; it is time to take action.
”Before the end of the year, more than 200 startups are going to be empowered. You are hereby encouraged to make advantage of this opportunity.
