Pa-Idu had Seven Children, three of whom were male. The three male children are Akka (the first son), Efa (the second son), and Emehi (the third son) Eastern Urhobo, Etsakó, Esan & Edo (Benin).
The 1st wife birthed Akka & his sister. The 2nd wife birthed Efa, Emehi and three other girls an Urhobo.
Akka created the “Obo” family gate as a replica of his father. His father was also an Obo (Chief Priest). He was buried in the Kogi territory of Uhe about 5030 years ago. Akka has been the father of Urhobo for 5020 years. He was the father of Eastern Urhobo until the ethnic breakout to get a new identity (Isoko 1957).
Moreover 1% of Efa descendant migrated into Delta in 1550AD meeting with the already ancient Olomu people… Four of the Efa’s grandchildren were in Olomu kingdom. They mixed with the descendants of Agbarha & Agbon to form a larger Urukpe (Okpe Kingdom). Today Okpe Kingdom had a mixture of Akka (85%) & Efa (15%). Olomu kingdom had a mixture of Akka 90% & Efa 10% . Agbarho had a mixture of Akka 95% & Efa 5% .
Akka lineage (Urhobo) are the creator of the Igodomigodo kingdom, now known as the Benin Kingdom. The first three kings were Ogiso Igodo (40 BCE), Ogiso Ere (16 AD), and Ogiso Orire (66 AD). They are direct descendants of Akka (Urhobo). The kingdom was named after Ogiso Igodo as Igodomigodo Kingdom which means “Compound of Compound or Nations upon Nations”.
Kinship are shared among Akka & Efa during the time of Igodomigodo kingdom. Efa represented Emehi bcx they are of same parents. These are the reasons Emehi descendants won’t be mentioned more.
Efa is the father of the Oba’s of Benin Kingdom, taking full charge from Ogiso Orriagba (670AD) until date 2025. Ogiso Orriagba was the 23rd Ogiso… Ogiso Owodo was the last Ogiso. His ancestry is of both Akka and Efa. He changed the system set by Ogiso Orriagba (Efa) back to the first Ogiso Igodo (Akka).
This Resulted to the fall of Igodomigodo Kingdom and Benin Kingdom evolved. The name Ubini was corr8pted to Benin by the Portuguese around 1472-1486. The name Ubini has been used to cover the territories of Efa.
Edo(Benin): Efa & Emehi as the majority with little Akka descendants are the fathers of the current Edo People(Benin). Many Akka (Urhobo’s) descendants refused to migrate during the reign of “Oba Ewuare, The Great.” As a result, they became parts of the Edo ethnic group today. Moreover some Akka descendants that are aboriginal to Edo South still stick to their Urhobo identity until date. Most of them are found in Orhiomwon L.G.A of Edo South.
Esan: Efa & Emehi are the majority of Esan. Ogiso Igodo’s son, Ikhimwin, migrated to the Esan territory at around 40BCE. He became one of the ancestors of the Esan people. The name Esan became prominent in 1472AD. This was during the last reign of Oba Ewuare. The majority group of Efa & Emehi migrated to their new home during this time.
Isoko: Akka was 90% the progenitor of the Isoko people (Eastern Urhobo of 19 kingdoms). In 1550AD, Efa descendants influenced Akka while meeting with the Aboriginal inhabitants of Olomu kingdom (Akka descendants). This led to a mixture of Akka (85%) and Efa (15%). A new environment formed, creating Olomoru kingdom, Okperikperi (Okpe Isoko), and Ozoro Kingdom.
Etsako: Efa & Emehi constitute 70% of Etsakó Tribe. While Akka is of 30% forming the Auchi people before later att8cked by the NUPE Islamic invaders in 1820.
Together, whether it’s Akka, Efa & Emehi…They are all direct sons of Pa Idu.
The Urhobo, Edo (Benin), Esan, Isoko, Etsako are all descendants of Pa Idu…
Other descendants of Pa Idu are now recently mixed with unrelated people from the 14th to the 18th/19th centuries. This occurred before and after the death of Oba Obvoranmen (1888-1914) of blessed memory. They include Ika, Ukwaini, Enuani, Igede (Benue), Owo (Ondo), Ikwerre, Oguta (Imo State), and Idoani (Ondo). Other groups are Onitsha (Anambra), Ekpeye (Rivers), Ikwerre (Rivers), and Ogba (Rivers). Additionally, Okpameri (Akoko Edo), Ado Ekiti, Tuomo (Ijaw), and Tarakiri (Ijaw) are included. The list continues with Amatolo (IJaw), Amassuma (IJaw), Utuan (IJaw), and Awori (Lagos). It also includes Itsekiri (Delta), Isaba (IJaw), Akugbene (IJaw), and Mgbidi (Imo). Further, Dahomey (Benin Republic), nunGa (Ghana), Enweh (Togo), and Creole (Sao Tome & Principe) are among others…
Big up to Pa Idu Igodomigodo. They are the true owners of Nigeria, formerly known as Benin Empire. The British imperialists invaded our land and turned us into a minority in a country we formerly owned. Respect to the Urhobos(Akka) lineage, especially to Ogiso Igodo, the creator of Igodomigodo Kingdom now Benin Kingdom …
Together we can stand again…
South South Nigeria We Stand
