Bunor Agbomedarho discusses the political stance of Rev. Waive ahead of the 2027 elections, focusing on competence, not arrangement.

Ahead 2027: Bunor Agbomedarho confirms that Waive had never campaigned on ‘Turn-by-Turn, but on competence’, not afraid of any contest

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Director-General of the Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive Campaign Council, Chief Bunor Agbomedarho, has dismissed claims. He refutes that the lawmaker’s political ambition is based on a so-called turn-by-turn arrangement. He insists that Rt. Hon. Waive has always subjected himself to the will of the electorate. Waive is not afraid of contesting against anyone ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Agbomedarho gave a telephone interview to our correspondent. He was reacting to a call. A political pressure group made this call. The group is the Consultative Forum for Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency (CF-U3).

The group had urged leaders and residents of the constituency to resist what it described. They noted the reported third-term ambition of Hon. (Rev.) Francis Ejiroghene Waive, alleging that his return to the House of Representatives in 2027 would deny others the opportunity of representing the constituency in the Green Chamber.

Responding, Chief Agbomedarho rejected the allegation, saying, “Our immediate reaction is that Rev. Waive have not ever campaigned based on turn-by-turn. We have always campaigned based on competence or lack of it. It is more profitable to keep a good legislator. You keep him for as long as he can work for you. If you have a bad one, please remove him or her now.”

He argued that performance should decide who stands for Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency. It should not be based on sentiment or pressure-group agitation. He stressed that Rev. Waive’s record in office speaks for itself.
