The Governor of Delta State receives the prestigious Governor of the Year 2025 Award for exemplary leadership and commitment.

The Governor of Delta State has once again been recognised for exemplary leadership. Receiving the Governor of the Year 2025 Award from New Telegraph at a distinguished ceremony held in Lagos.

The Governor spoke about the honour. He described the award as both an encouragement and a renewed call to deepen the commitment to purposeful governance. “This recognition is not about personal accolades, but about the collective progress of Delta State. It is a reminder that we must continue to do MORE for our people. We must guarantee inclusiveness, development, and sustainable growth,” he stated.

The Governor of Delta State expressed sincere appreciation to his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme. Sir Onyeme, who was there at the ceremony to receive the award on his behalf. He commended Onyeme’s steadfastness in holding the fort and ensuring continuity of governance in Delta State.

In dedicating the award, the Governor said: “I dedicate this honour to Almighty God. I also dedicate it to the resilient people of Delta State who have entrusted us with their mandate. Their faith and support remain the driving force behind every initiative we undertake.”
