FMC Ovwian expands healthcare access with a new annex in Oginibo Community. Learn more about the initiative today.
The Management of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Ovwian, led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Dr. Kingsley Akaba, inspected the proposed FMC Annex in Oginibo Community, Ughelli South LGA today. This inspection was conducted on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The aim is to expand quality healthcare to grassroots communities. The team was warmly received by community leaders. Prof. Akaba assured them that necessary steps would be taken to commence operations. This will bring healthcare closer to the people. It also eases pressure on the main FMC facility.
Other Members of the FMC delegation includes: Mr. Friday Ezigboko Adugbo (Director of Administration), Dr. Cosmas Onyenaju (Director of Finance), Dr. Kareem Olumide (Head of Procurement), Rev. Paul Sotu (HR), Nurse Oviobo Florence (Head of Nursing Services), and Barristers Debby Adegoke and Monye Vernon Fego (Legal Department).
